SeqHepBWhat is SeqHepB SeqHepB provides an on-line predictive tool, enabling the clinician to make an informed decision as to drug selection based on the mutational and resistance profile of the virus in an individual patient at any given time. SeqHepB comprises a unique bio-informatics viral genomic sequencing software program together with the world's most extensive database of patented HBV mutations. SeqHepB also incorporates an extensive in-vitro phenotypic database which permits clinically relevant interpretation of the mutations identified, further enhancing its superior clinical utility. SeqHepB in Clinical Practice Upon receipt of a patient blood sample, the laboratory generates a genetic sequence. SeqHepB sequencing software then compares the mutations identified with its international database and generates a resistance profile based on the primary and secondary mutations found in the sequence. The resistance profile generated is both current and predictive. As a dynamic HBV resistance profiling system, SeqHepB has been designed to keep up with a virus that is continually changing.
